Summer plans

I am more excited and I look forward for my vacations! Because this year has been very long for me in the University. Between May and August the students of Universidad de Chile declared to go on strike and We were 2 months on strike and in September we returned to class. Since that moment, the university has been more stressful because we lost a lot of time and the contents were shortened! On December 30th I have the last exam and finally I finish my semester.

Well, after all in the third week on January we do our second professional practice. Me and my class  are going to Pantanillos, Concepcion  for one week and after this week we are going to Malleco for our second week to practice.

That is, I have only two week to rest and recharge my energy. Also in these two week I can enjoy with my family! Because on February 3rd I will take the plane to Arica because we would like to visit Peru and Bolivia for a month with my boyfriend. This trip finishes on March 3rd and on this date I will enter to University again.

My boyfriend planned the route that we could make when we arrive to Arica and he wrote the possible route in his book. 

The places that we would like to know are Machu picchu and Salar de Uyuni but my boyfriend already knows Peru so He will be my guide...

This trip is more important for me because I will travel for first time on plane!

                                            

My Best Friend

Today... I will tell you about my best friend! The name of my best friend is Edgard and I met him in the school. He is my first friend, because before I went to a school where there were only girls. I met Edgard when I was 16 years old and He was very sloppy! One day my teacher changed the seat of students in the classroom and She assigned me to sit next to Edgard! And our conversation began because he asked me for a pencil! We stayed all the class sitting together and in the break all Edgard's friends got to know me.

From that moment I never separated from them and with the time the boys considered me as one more of the group. We were five persons and we were going together to all places. The other boys are named Michel, Manuel and Enrique and I was the only woman in this group and my friends named me Bryan André because they considered me a boy!

I was very happy with them and most part of the day I laughed with the things that they talked. We had many difficult moments together like when Edgard was going to be a father!! When he told me this news I was very sad because I felt that would be more difficult for him.

With the time... We grew apart  because each one his or her own obligation and We are all studying in the University. So the time is limited.

How green are you?

In this day, I will tell you about how I care for the nature. In my house, it is more difficult to recycle because my mother disagrees with my way of recycling. But for me it is more important this green activity because the world is in serious problem with the human activity. Besides I live in an apartment and the community don't have a system that allows me sort in different trash can the litter that my family and me produce.

However the sister of my boyfriend is more careful with the things that you can recycle, and they have different trash can to sort out the organic waste, paper, piece of glass, plastic or other waste. Once a week they go to Homecenter to take out the contents that they accumulated in the week at the different trash cans. Homecenter has a place that is called Punto limpio and you can take out the trash and It is located closer to my house. But when I talk with the mother about my boyfriend... She says that it is more difficult to maintain the order and sort out the trash, because nobody teaches about the materials that you can recycle or how you do  this. Moreover you need  to go to Punto limpio and a car to carry the sorted out trash.

My future Job

I have a idea of my future job, I would really like to work with kids because I feel that this little person is the key to change the world. The kids have a open mind and They learn very fast. It is the reason that motivates me to work with them.

I have thought that when I finish my career, I will study pre-school teaching to have many techniques to teach to kids and my future children. I would like to teach all I have learned at the University such as all about the care of plants and trees. 

In this year, I have participated in Arboretum Antumapu that is the nearest to my idea of my future work, because in an opportunity many kids of different schools came here at the University and my classmates and me did a  tour in the different parts of the Campus where many trees are planted to make a conservation ex-situ. In this tour every one walked and talked with a group of children and told them about the objective of Arboretum and the importance of conservation of those species. 

A little of this is that I would like to do in the future! But still I haven't finished my career and my idea of my future job can change. 

Election Day

In this opportunity I will tell you about the election day, and I say to you how it is in my country. In Chile, you can be citizen when you are 18 years old and in this moment you begin to vote. I am 20 years old and the last year is the first time that I voted because the election is every other 4 years. The last year has 9 candidates and in the first round I voted for Alfredo Sfeir because this person is the most representative for me. In the second round I didn't vote because there were 2 candidates Michelle Bachelet and Evelyn Matthei and they didn't represente my thinkings.

In the personal I don't like the electoral campaigns! I think that the electoral campaigns is totally unnecessary because it uses more money in propaganda and it is more excessive. Also I think that the campaigns are a little aggressive because the country gets filled with giant poster that promote one candidate and all places have many poster. I believe that the campaigns degrade the little beauty that  Santiago has and only you can see poster everywhere.

Unfortunately Chile doesn't have civic education and the most of people decide for benefit and they are persuaded but the lies of the different candidates. 

It is a shame....

A day to remember

Hi bloggers!! Today I will tell you about a day that I always remember. It day is when with my class visited the reserve national "Llanquihue".

The reserve is located in Puerto Montt and it was created in 1912. The path is a excursion until the volcano Calbuco, means 8 kms of extension and four hours to trekking.

This day we wake up very early and go up the bus very rushed for arrive the reserve! We begin the trekking with my miss of Botanic like guide and I was going behind her.

In the road, she and I were going talk about the trees, plants and others places that she recommended for my last trekking. She commented me about the cascade that be in this place and the refuge nearby to volcano.

We was made a stop in a place that be millenary trees, this trees was Alerce!!! And I never saw this tree, I do know it! Millenary Alerce was a huge tree and between all my friends reached hug it.


When the trekking finished I told with my miss about the cascade, and I ask her for the place that was the cascade and she answered that the cascade was in a being of the trekking.

I go down very rushed with some classmate for reach to cascade, we ran a lot of for the track and finally we reached to cascade!!!! And the place was most beauty!! 

We decided go into the water in the cascade!! And it was very cold!!!! You doesn't stay motionless because you could freeze!!

 

The Best Concert I've ever seen

Aflora Reggae

Hi bloggers, In this opportunity I will tell you about the best concert I've ever seen. This concert isn't a big organization because it is done in a bar. 

This is done in Chiloé while I was traveling in the South of Chile with my boyfriend.

We rushed to reach Ancud to listen to this group because it is really good the music that they sing and play.

Aflora is a Chilean group and it is a band dedicated to diffusion of the reggae music. We love reggae and it is our favorite music. 

On the trip we missed the music because when you hitch-hike you spend a lot of time alone on the road and miss the simple things of the life like the music.

I remember that that day we arrived in Ancud at night and we ate in a restaurant of fast food that was near the bar where the concert was being held. The presentation finished very late, near three in the morning and we didn't have a place to go to sleep and we had to sleep behind a big rock in the ravine edge. 

A Country I would like to visit

Hello my bloggers, today I will tell you about the country I would like to visit and this is Holland!  The first reason for this visit is because I love going biking in the city, and in this country the people have much culture and respect with the cyclist and many people use this transport system to travel to work, home, college and other places.

The second reason is the museums that exist in this place. For example the museum that saves the Anne Frank House and hash Marihuana & hemp! This place is more interesting for me because it gives for the first time a little of history about the second world war and secondly it teaches  about the coming of this plant! And I like so much the plants even if they are used like drugs.

I would like to study in this place because it is more peaceful and the night is more entertaining! Also this country is located closer to Belgium and I have three uncles who live in this country.

Healthy eating habits

Hello my bloggers, I will tell us about my perspective of healthy eating habits!

First, having good eating habits, not to say that we want to follow a strictest diet or stop eating things we like.

In my case, my parents taught me from an early age the importance of eating fruits and vegetables, and then it is very attached to my habit.  In my house there are always plenty of fruits and vegetables, and all we consume without any problem. I like them a lot these foods.

And now I'm bigger I decided to stop eating animal products and feed based on vegetables, fruits and whole grains.

I think another very important to lead a healthy life, appearance is exercising the body and I really like trekking, cycling and walking.

However in the last 10 years, people have become very sedentary thanks to technology. Children no longer play in the streets, but they are locked in their homes playing with PS3 or computer games.

Now people prefer fast food because they haven’t time to cook something healthy. In addition to their children they do not like vegetables or fruits.

Hello my bloggers, this is my ultimate blog that I am going to!

In this occasion, I will tell us about my experience in this semester with write blogs.

In my opinion my experience writing blogs in English was more interesting and entertaining because I could write of my dog, my change of alimentation, my trip for the South of Chile and other topics of my life. Also I could comment the blogs of my friends and classmates, this allow me know more my classmates and I could practice the English grammar.

I think this experience is very well for review the words learning in the school. But many topics of the blogs aren’t very interesting for me and in these cases was very difficult write because I could not think how to start writing, even in Spanish. Other difficult for me was to complete a fixed number of words, because generally I'm not writing with large paragraph. 

I know that my writing is not very good, but hopefully have come to understand the background of my ideas. And they have known a little more about me and the things that make me feel happy.

My education

The education that I receive pending my life school is comfortable, despite I was in many schools. When I was seven years I studied in a convent school, this school was very strict and I had a miss that one day gave homework about write the numbers from one to ten thousand in numbers and letters. This woman was my head teacher in 4th grade. I was in this school for five years. After I was in other convent school also to five years and I had a head teacher very worried for me, because my class I did bulling. This miss had an arts teacher and she had cancer.

When I was fifteen years I left this school and I went a mixed school where I did many friends and I could learn some French. The name of this school is Liceo Frances and this place I had my better experiences with my friends. But closed this school for the manifestation that occurring in 2011 and anew I had change of school. Finally I finished my education in San Cristobal College.

My Career

This career is directed to people with preferences for exploring the potential of forests in the production of goods and services in the public and private spaces, promoting the sustainability for the country.

The curriculum covers aspect of climate, vegetation, fauna, geomorphology, and principles basic of science like chemistry and physics. These topics are the base for the remaining years and is essential for understanding the remaining process that happen in the forest.

The professional that study this career can work in a private or public sector in management plans, environmental consulting, recovery ecosystem with damages area on degraded soil and water and in the production of wood in forestall business . The Workplaces is very wide.

Forestry has many field trips to apply the knowledge learned across the year and practice in the summer in Frutillar, Constitucion and others places that belong to the university. This is a great opportunity for us to know situations different to Santiago and coexist with your partners because you will live together for one or even two weeks.

Cochamó...

I took this photo in Cochamó, a place completely magic! I went there because my friends Viviana and Isa recommended to me when I started backpacking through the South of Chile.

After my practice in Frutillar with my classmates, I began alone my travel with Patagonia as my final destiny. In the route I met much places and Cochamó was one of them! When I arrived in this place I camped in “Campo Aventura” to continue my trip in the morning and get to La Junta zone.

In the morning I started my trekking for arrive in La Junta. The path to this zone is a trekking that takes 4 to 6 hour for get to the first camping.

I stayed in this place for a week and met a lot of people. I learned the basic stuff for climbing because La Junta is considered a climbing paradise and there was many climbers.

I was impressed with the big walls routes and the capacity that had the persons for move using their hands and feet, meeting well their center of gravity.

Vegan Food

Vegan diet is similar with vegetarian diet, but doesn't include eggs, milk and all other animal derived ingredients. Also this diet doesn't use products that are tested on animal, nor clothes made with hide, wool, and chamois. 

 A vegan diet includes all grains, legumes, vegetables and fruits and the nearly infinite number of foods made by combining them. 

Currently, are many foods that replaced the meat, for example: Soya that is a species of legume native to Asia and is use in replace for milk, hamburger, yogurt, etc. Other replace is Gluten that is a protein found in certain grains.

Is more important investigate about this diet because these person that follow this can have nutrients deficiency mainly vitamins B that meet in products animal. In fruits and vegetables is very little the quantity of this vitamins because is not available for his condition of oxidation and the body not assimilate this elements. 

Travel experience

On February I decided go to South of Chile and start my first trip alone. I started this experience at February 18, after of my summer practice in Frutillar. This practice is obligatory and allow approve different subject in University. For it, my trip started in Frutillar. I make hitch-hike all the trip and I get to Coyhaique. In Coyhaique I visited a friend, his name is Martin and he had an accident in September of 2014, he dropped from a fourth floor and fortunately he lives! Martin began his rehabilitation therapies and he is very well. I stayed in Coyhaique for two weeks and after I started my return of Santiago because I missed my family and my dog.

This trip change my way to making things, thinking and feeling and for these reasons I decide cut my hair as a way of saying thank you for this experience.

My favorite piece of technology

My favorite piece of technology is my Iphone I have this phone for two months because I lost my Smartphone in the mall after I arrived to Santiago.

At first I didn’t understand this operative system of this piece, because I was to accustomed to using a Smartphone Samsung.

I bought a secondhand Iphone on MercadoLibre and I talked with the saleswoman through email.

As usual I use this phone for entering a Facebook, Whatsapp, U-cursos, email and Instagram.

I like taking a picture with the camera because the resolution is very good. I usually enjoy portraying nice moments with my friends, in nature, with my dog and my family.

I enjoy playing an Asphalt 8, this play is a driving game where you can take the wheel of some of the world's fastest cars.

My expectation for this semester

This year I start second year at university. I have six subjects and they are interesting for me. My expectations is pass most of the subjects, learn more about plants, ecosystems, animals, and connect more with the forestry. Also I will be assistant of CICBAE, this is a subject favorite because for me is the base of the career and explains the metabolic functions and process that happen in the plants. I teach to students of first year and work with them in laboratory.

I take a sport elective, this is Football and I go with my friend Viviana. We play football games on Saturday and we want to win this championship.

Biography

I was born in Hospital San Borja Arriarán on December 22, 1994 in Santaigo, Chile. I was the first daughter of my parents, then I am oldest sister of five children.

I went to Playschool for three years. And this was so much funny for me. I went with my two siblings and I liked cooking in this place.

In 2000 I entered School and studied for twelve years and now I’m studying Forestry at Universidad de Chile. I live in Macul in an apartment with my family I have a dog and her name is Tiara, it is a Pitbull. I take a walk with my dog every morning.
